Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain & Operations Management

Objectives:

This course aims to provide the students with advanced knowledge on the issue of Supply Chain and Operations Management and further understanding of managing the supply chain and operations management in the relevant industry. Students can apply the knowledge in the transport management, operations management and international aspects of supply chain and even problem solving and are effective in the ever-evolving arena of the supply chain and operations management industries.

Course Duration:

This course (Full-time/Part-time) consists of 6 modules. All modules will be completed within 6 months

Course Outline:

There are 6 modules in total:

- Operations Management；

- E-Commerce with Logistics;

- Human Resource and Cross Culture Management；

- Project Management and Project Planning；

- Supply Chain & Logistics Systems；

- Transportation Management

Course Time：

There will be 6 hours of lesson time each week（Part-time）；

There will be 5 lessons x 3 hours each week（Full-time）；

Schedule of the classes will be planned to suit the course’s needs.

There will be no classes conducted during public holidays and school holidays.

Prerequisites:

Diploma from Nanyang Asia College or equivalent from other institutions

Assessment Examination: 

There are two assessment papers:

Paper 1: Section A 20 MCQ (Open Book) (each answer = 2 marks= 40 marks in total)

Paper 2: Section B (50 marks in total) (Closed Book)

Essay Questions: To answer 2 out of 3 questions (each answer = 25 marks = 50 marks in total)

Attendance/Presentation: 10 marks

Course Completion & Certification:

Upon completion of the 6 modules, those who fulfilled the required attendance and pass all the assessments will be awarded an Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain and Operations Management certificate by Nanyang Asia College.

Attendance must not less than 75%（part-time）90%（full-time） and not absent without valid reason for more than 7 consecutive days.

Miscellaneous Fees refer to any non-compulsory fees which the students pay only when applicable. Such fees are normally collected by the PEI when the need arises

• Miscellaneous fees are indicated in the student contract.

• NYAC does not accept payment in foreign currency.

Course Duration

There are two semesters per year. Semester 1 runs from April to September (6 months); on the other hand, semester 2 runs from October to March (6 months). Depending on the student-applicant’s level, some students may need to take both Semesters 1 and 2 to complete the whole course. A monthly assessment is also administered.

Students may join classes at any time in the year as long as they agree to the school's terms and conditions.
