Admission Procedure
a. Upon completing the pre-course counseling, if the students express interest in enrolling in the course,
the Course Counsellor will instruct the applicant to submit all supporting documents along with the
Student Application Form. This information will be used to generate a Letter of Offer.
b. The College shall collect Application Fees prior to the signing of the actual Student Contract. This is a
fee charged to process each application. An Original Receipt must be issued to students for any such
fees paid.
c. The Course Counsellor shall conduct an initial test of the applicant’s suitability, taking into consideration
the minimum requirements of the course and module. This is only applicable to Preparatory students.
d. Students will be required to take an Entrance Test covering both English and Mathematics. If a student
fails the test (i.e. below 50%), the Academic Director will assess the result and may recommend that the
student be placed in a lower-level class.
e. The application and Entrance Test results are then passed on to the Management Team for a second
stage evaluation.
f. If the applicant (for Higher Education Courses Only) does not meet the minimum entry requirements
of the course, the Academic and Examination Board could consider their admission to the course based
if the Applicant:
• Is eligible for bridging module entry.
• Has other acceptable merits (i.e., prior learning experience).
• Goes through further interviews or assessments and they are deemed to be able to fit into course
requirements.
g. For such special cases (i.e., applicants that do not meet the minimum entry requirements), records
of approval and the documents to support it would need to be documented.
h. For courses offered by External Academic Partners, the student applications will be forwarded to
the partner for final approval. (If applicable)
i. Upon approval of the application by the Management Team and/or External Academic Partner
(if applicable), the Student Services/Admin Department shall prepare a Letter of Offer, which will be
given to the applicant for his/her necessary action. Should the application be rejected, the Student
Services/Admin Department will inform the application outcome to the applicant/parent/guardian
by a Letter of Rejection.
