Application Procedure
- The Course Counsellor is supposed to conduct pre-course counselling during the application stage. This is to ensure that potential students are well informed of any course and College information prior to decision making.
- The relevant information that needs to be provided during the Pre-Course Counselling is through the Pre-Course Counselling Acknowledgement Form.
- The Course Counsellor would also need to make sure to cover the additional information needed for all student pass holders. They would include: –
- Students Pass application requirements and procedures;
- Informing these students that they are not permitted to engage in any form of employment or attend an industrial attachment/internship programme, whether paid or unpaid, without a valid work pass issued by Ministry of Manpower; and
Other relevant Singapore laws.
- The Course Counsellor will conduct information sessions with potential students to identify their needs. Suitable courses will then be recommended based on the applicants’ needs.
- The completion of Pre-Course Counselling shall then be indicated on the Pre-Course Counselling Acknowledgement Form.
- Student or Parent/Guardian (if student is below 18 years old) should fill in and sign the Pre-Course Counselling Acknowledgement Form to indicate that they fully understand the above information.
- In addition, monitoring mechanisms for ensuring good quality service standards with regard to the conduct of pre-course counselling would include both pro-active (i.e., Pre-Course Counselling Survey) and reactive (Feedback Form) measures.
