Dr. Teng Jiashu

CEO / Director

Founder of Nanyang Asia College.

Since establishing his first education center in Singapore in 1993, Dr. Teng was inducted into the Who’s Who in the World in 1997. He has been deeply involved in the fields of education and the arts, winning multiple authoritative industry awards.

For over 30 years, he has dedicated himself to founding tertiary colleges, committing to education management research, and striving to develop the education sector. Today, Nanyang Asia College has become a preferred training institute for AEIS parents in Singapore and has been awarded the 4-year EduTrust certification by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) / Committee for Private Education (CPE), successfully laying a solid cornerstone for the college’s centennial development.

At the same time, he is also a renowned artist.

In 2002, under the guidance of Mr. Liu Kang, the founder of the Nanyang Art Style, he founded the Nanyang Artists Association. Dr. Teng is highly proficient in Chinese calligraphy, mastering Regular script, Clerical script, Running script, Cursive script, and Seal script, and is able to blend these various styles into his calligraphic creations. He also innovated the “Mantis-Leg Clerical Script.” Integrating Chinese and Western methodologies, he is skilled in realism, oil painting, figure painting, and portraiture, having painted portraits for numerous prominent figures. He is equally proficient in traditional Chinese landscape, flower, and bird paintings, and has collaborated with his students to pioneer the “Tropical Rainforest Painting Style.” Furthermore, he excels in sculpting, having created the large-scale sculpture Unity and Soaring High for Nanyang Primary School in Singapore, and the Confucius sculpture for the Second Affiliate Primary School of Foon Yew in Johor, Malaysia. He also founded brain intelligence development courses, nurturing numerous top students who have successfully entered world-class, prestigious universities.

Ms. Jin Zilan

HR / Finance Department Manager

Co-founder of Nanyang Asia College.

Ms. Jin has been deeply engaged in the education industry since 1980. She embarked on her teaching career in China in her early years and was awarded numerous honors by educational authorities, widely acknowledged as an exemplary backbone teacher in the sector.
After moving to Singapore in 1993, she committed herself to local basic education. Her professional and earnest approach to teaching has earned her the trust and deep respect of a great many parents. Over her years in the profession, she has assisted thousands of students in gaining admission to Singapore government primary and secondary schools, effectively solving schooling challenges for countless families.

For students struggling with truancy, study aversion, academic underachievement and other learning difficulties, Ms. Jin has independently developed a complete set of motivational and guidance frameworks. She is adept at rebuilding students’ enthusiasm for learning, guiding underperforming pupils to adjust their study mindset, proactively make up for missed schoolwork, and successfully pass the AEIS entrance assessment for Singapore government schools.
Upholding the philosophy of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, she designs bespoke one-on-one tutoring and improvement programmes for each individual student. Under her leadership and the collective dedication of the entire faculty and staff team, Nanyang Asia College has consistently maintained a high AEIS pass rate over the years. attaining outstanding results within Singapore’s AEIS further education field.

Owing to its impressive admission track record and meticulous institutional management, the college has received countless thank-you silk banners from parents and built a sterling reputation. It has also been officially granted the four-year EduTrust Education Trust accreditation.

Dr. Jia Junbo

Principal

Education Dr. Jia Junbo holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and earlier degrees (B.Eng. and M.Eng.) from Southwest Jiaotong University, China. His academic background spans power electronics, battery systems, and energy management.

Academic Experience He has served as Lecturer and Associate Professor at Southwest Jiaotong University, and later as Senior Lecturer and Lead Scientist at Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore. He has taught courses in Power Electronics, Advanced Electronics, Electronic Prototyping, and High Voltage Technology, with a strong focus on applied learning and innovation.

Professional Experience Dr. Jia has over 30 years of experience in engineering and research. He has led multiple government‑funded projects in smart battery systems, clean energy, and micro‑grid applications. He has published more than 50 journal and conference papers, chaired IEEE conference sections, and contributed to international collaborations in energy storage and electric mobility.

Dr. Francis Wong

Academic / Examination Board

Francis Wong earned his Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) under a scholarship from an accredited institution then in 2008, Zurich, Swiss complemented by a Master’s degree and a Bachelor of Commerce, both obtained from two different Australian universities. His pedagogical expertise includes a “Gold Standard” Specialist Diploma in Applied Learning and Teaching (SDALT) from a local Polytechnic and a Level 7 Graduate Diploma in TESOL from London UK. He completed a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from NUS-ISS, with additional credentials in leadership, data science, and AI from institutions from Harvard University and IBM.

He holds the Foreign Expert Certificate (外国专家证) from the China Ministry of Education and has received multiple awards, including Lecturer of the Year, for his commitment to pedagogical innovation and institutional excellence.

Francis serves as an adjunct professor across various European and Asia universities and institutions in the United States.
His teaching excellence is highlighted by a commendation from the University of Cambridge dated June 9, 2008. While he was teaching English and business programs, the University noted: The high percentage of successful candidates reflects well on the quality and substance of the teaching.

Dr. William Tan

Education Dr. Tan received his BEng in Mechanical Engineering, his MSc in Industrial Engineering, and his MBA from the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Doctor of Business Administration from the Singapore University of Social Sciences.

Academic Experience He has extensive teaching experience at both Master’s and undergraduate levels across universities in Singapore, Britain, and Australia. His teaching portfolio includes Strategy, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Start-up Business Planning, Leadership, Supply Chain Management, Marketing Management, Marketing Research, International Marketing, Statistics, Quantitative Methods, Business Analytics, and Data Visualization.

Professional Experience Dr. Tan’s professional background spans diverse industries such as Energy, Engineering, Education, Trading, Professional Services, Specialty Chemicals, and Construction Materials. His focus has been on roles in General Management, Business Development, and Operations within the Asia Pacific region.

Dr. Yong Wang

Education Dr. Wang holds a PhD in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore, specializing in polymer chemistry.

Academic Experience He has more than 20 years of research and development experience in polymer chemistry, bioengineering, nanotechnology, drug and gene delivery systems, and applied materials science. His academic contributions include extensive publications in internationally recognized journals, presentations at international conferences, and involvement in patent applications for therapeutic delivery technologies. His research achievements have been highlighted by major media outlets such as The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao.

Professional Experience With over 28 years of professional experience, including more than 5 years in management roles, Dr. Wang has worked in leading research and biotechnology organizations such as the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, Davos Life Science, and Succeed Life Science. He brings strong academic, research, and industry expertise to Nanyang Asia College, supporting its commitment to quality education and academic excellence.

Mr. Nazir

Lecturer

Educational Background Mr. Nazir holds a Master of Science in Venture Creation from the National University of Singapore (NUS), specializing deeply in deep-tech commercialization and startup incubation.

Academic Background He focuses on solving real-world industry pain points through scalable technologies and innovative solutions. Leveraging his own entrepreneurial ventures, he conducts corporate training and practical teaching, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industrial operations.

Professional Experience He has over 15 years of cross-industry professional experience across Singapore and the Middle East, spanning the engineering, construction, and technology sectors.He previously served as a Sales Manager at TK Elevator Singapore, where he spearheaded the completion of multiple multi-million dollar projects and won four regional industry awards. He also founded Hasna Tech, an enterprise specializing in digital solutions and corporate training services.

Dr. Charles Cao, Ph.D

Information Technology Department Manager

Education Dr. Cao earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS), as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Control Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University. He is an alumnus of the AIAP programme run by AI Singapore in partnership with NUS. His research interests cover artificial intelligence, control engineering, robotic control and computer science.

Academic Experience Dr. Cao has served as a PhD supervisor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He supervised a PhD student whose research focused on robust modelling of nonlinear systems subject to parametric uncertainties. Upon graduation, this former student went on to become a Full Professor at Kyungpook National University in South Korea.

Professional Experience Dr. Cao possesses more than 25 years of professional experience in automatic control system development, servo motor control, artificial intelligence implementation and web platform development. He has authored over 40 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings, alongside 12 US patents and proprietary trade secrets. He was awarded the Best Paper Award at the 3rd Asian Control Conference.
